Duties

This position is located in Phoenix, AZ at the 161st ARW in the Operations Compliance Function, Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), Mission Support Group. Its purpose is to be the point of contact for the Logistics Readiness Squadron deployment and training activities. Manages customer training and provides the Logistics Readiness Squadron forces with training and resources for deployed operations.

Qualifications

APPOINTMENT FACTORS :This position is the Federal/Excepted Civil Service and is open to current members of the Arizona Air National Guard. Individual selected will receive a Permanent Appointment after successful completion of a one year trial period. 

 

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:

Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Air National Guard and be able to qualifyfor the following AFSC : 2S0X1

 

Max Military Grade: E6

 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Acceptance of a Federal Excepted technician position of over 179 days in length will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (BONUS). Individual selected will be required to take a pre-employment medical screening which will be paid for by the Agency.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) funds are not available for this position.

QUALIFICATION: Logistics Management Specialist, GS-0346-09, E1-E6

Specialized Experience: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience integrating actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to meet program goals. Experience interpreting and applying regulations, laws or practices. Experience planning and organizing work assignments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE IN THIS POSITION:

1.       Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of program related issues and problems.

2.       Skill in defining problem areas and in application of conventional mobility management principles and concepts.

3.       Factual and thorough knowledge of the responsibilities of logistics plans and support functions that interrelate with the incumbents assignment.

4.       Knowledge of methods and procedures to develop training and of the methods used to evaluate training effectiveness.
