Job Description

CSG Actuarial, LLC is looking for an Re-Rating Analyst to serve in our fast growing life and health consulting practice. In this position, the candidate will provide analytical and technical actuarial consulting services to life and health insurance companies, with on re-rating health insurance books of business, with an emphasis on senior market products such as Medicare Supplement and supplement health.  In addition, our analysts also provide advisory services related to competitive intelligence, risk management, and other transformational business initiatives.

 Representative responsibilities include:
  • Product development and pricing for life and health insurance products
  • Manage and perform re-rating functions for health lines of business
  • Perform actuarial appraisals of insurance companies and insurance agencies
  • Track lapse and retention rates; define strategies to influence based on data
  • Prepare and present client presentations and reports
  • Manage competitive intelligence databases and
  • Conduct other actuarial consulting activities, as required
·         2+ yrs of related work experience, preferably with prior management exposure.
·         Highly driven, self-motivator / self-starter, with a strong desire to challenge and deliver.
·         Track record of effectively managing a team.
·         Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a confident and articulate presenter to internal/external audiences, exercising appropriate discretion in dealing with people from all levels of the Company.
·         Ability to demonstrate proven experience during which they have used and developed their analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
·         Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies.
·         Ability to multi-task, priorities and complete tasks to tight deadlines along with excellent time management skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
·         Displays a resilient and adaptable style, with a track record of remaining calm and maintaining order in demanding circumstances.
·         Adjusting to an environment of changing conditions / priorities.
·         Being commercially aware, analytical and practical in approach.
·         Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
