CSG Actuarial, LLC is looking for an Associate Actuary to work in both our market research division and actuarial consulting practice.  In this position, the candidate will utilize their analytical and technical skills to assist the company in meeting their strategic goals and support recent growth. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data in multiple environments and develop database and web-based applications
  • Maintenance of company databases, including streamlining and automating internal processes, procedures, and reporting functionality.
  • Assist with market research activities and translate information into marketable web-based tools and downloadable reports.
  • Work with business users to define technical requirements, architecting, and developing solutions for company’s products
  • Support the actuarial consulting practice through development of reports, applications, and other necessary activities to meet client expectations.
  • Conduct other miscellaneous activities, as required

Qualifications:

  • 2+ yrs of related work experience a plus
  • Experience with data warehouse concepts, SQL programming, Microsoft applications, and web based applications
  • Actuarial work experience is a plus
  • Highly driven, self-motivator / self-starter, with a strong desire to challenge and deliver.
  • Must work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff and customers.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a confident and articulate presenter to internal/external audiences, exercising appropriate discretion in dealing with people from all levels of the company.
  • Ability to demonstrate proven experience during which they have used and developed their analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies.
  • Ability to multi-task, priorities and complete tasks to tight deadlines along with excellent time management skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Displays a resilient and adaptable style, with a track record of remaining calm and maintaining order in demanding circumstances.
  • Adjusting to an environment of changing conditions / priorities.
