  • Valid Nebraska driver’s license
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Background check, drug test, and physical test.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, inventory management systems)
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Self - Motivated with minimal direct supervision
  • Legible handwriting
  • Premier organizational skills to manage all aspects of the incoming inspection process
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment with hay and hay-based products
  • Ability to spend the majority of day standing, walking and bending (both indoors and outside)
  • Ability to give and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Maintain positive, productive relationships internally and externally.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Perform product inspections on incoming goods as defined by Standard Operating Procedures, utilizing sampling plans and acceptable quality limits to accept or reject product.
  2. Clearly document the findings of the product inspections on their appropriate forms.
  3. Correctly utilize inspection equipment: calculator and various scales.
  4. Refer to product specifications for required product quality attributes.
  5. Initiate non-conforming product reports to QA for rejected product.
  6. Perform product re-works according to specifications as requested by QA.
  7. Collect and deliver samples to QA for testing and retention.
  8. Assist with monitoring inventory locations to match product movements.
  9. Assist with revisions to Standard Operating Procedures and forms.
  10. Accurate data entry into electronic spreadsheets.
  11. Organize and file paperwork.
  12. Assist with Product Quality and Regulatory Compliance department projects.
  13. Readily perform tasks not specifically prescribed by job description, as requested by supervisor.
