Great Plains Communications is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented person to fill the position of Telecommunications Technical Support Representative.


This role is responsible for:

  • Providing an escalated level of technical support services for the Internet and Voice lines of business
  • Serving as the main contact for terminating toll issues and as the Tier 2 escalation point for coworkers
  • Communicating widespread residential service outages
  • Identifying areas for improvement in Tier 1 troubleshooting, and providing procedures and training as required


Successful candidate must have strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.  Two or more years of experience with Internet-related computing systems (PCs and servers) and IP networks, along with experience in a multi-faceted network (Voice, IP, and Cable Television), is desired.  A+ and Network+ certifications are a plus.  Must also be able to work non-standard business hours and be on call as necessary.
