As the key member of the Branch leadership team, the Branch Manager will be responsible for delivering sales, income & profitability results for a single branch. Expectations include: recruitment, selection, training, development & retention of branch-level sales & support staff; delivering consistent performance on key metrics; monitoring & controlling inventory flow; and oversight of all branch-level operations.
Responsibilities / Expectations
Effective management of every aspect of the branch operation, including achieving performance
results, staffing, training/development, customer experience, & inventory management
Conduct weekly 1:1 s with branch staff to discuss performance
Actively recruit & interview potential staff, as well as make hiring decisions. Continually review
staffing levels with District Manager & anticipate needed changes
Greet customers & engage in face-to-face sales
Review & approve all files & documents before they are submitted to the finance company
Actively participate in, and teach, the steps of the selling effort- deal working/selling/closing
Monitor staff compliance with the sales process, and ensure that all steps of the process are
facilitated properly (i.e. script compliance, meeting with customers to ensure that all options are
considered when working to close a sale, negotiating vehicle selection, financing terms & down
Manage the flow of inventory via consistent & effective communication of needs to our internal
buying agents, & inspect newly received inventory to determine lot readiness
Investigate, escalate or resolve customer or team member issues in a prompt, professional &
Participate in, and at times lead, training meetings & conference calls
Monitor & document staff performance on a consistent basis
Ensure branch facility & sales lot are kept clean, organized & in a presentable fashion at all
Develop relationships with customers and prospects and network with outside referral sources
