Sustain and respond in the support of plant electro-mechanical equipment. At direction of supervision, complete periodic Preventive Maintenance (PM) requests. Accountable for personal safety/PPE usage, 6S, machine down time and master understanding of OEE metrics for each department while maintaining plant’s machinery.
Support of production manufacturing; conduct advanced trouble shooting assessment of electro-mechanical systems and equipment issues
Tasks include the production support of answering calls, assist in changeovers, pre- and post-start-up of production lines. Working with production, Maintenance Supervisor/Lead, and operations management in advanced planning and execution of improvement activities
Processes and completes all Preventative Maintenance requests to the respective departments in a timely manner
Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
Follows all safety guidelines and promotes safety in the work areas. Support and drive all Lean Manufacturing goals
Knowledge and Experience
Understands and comprehends the Lock Out Tag Out procedures with all equipment.
Understands Digital Electronics, PLC trouble shooting, and applies knowledge to trouble shoot electrical devises and read AC and DC circuits.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and supportive to meet changing work demands.
Reads, understands & interprets master detailed electrical prints; knowledge of power supplies
High Attention to detail.
Ability to take initiative in the problem solving process.
Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
Completes the 24 hour Hazmat training course provided by the Company and adheres to appropriate procedures.
Strong communication and customer skills are needed to keep the customer well informed of the status of their department’s equipment.
2 years of Production Maintenance experience preferred
Journeyman, Electrical Certification preferred
Possess 3rd Grade Boiler License preferred
Education and Certification
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Associate’s Degree in electrical or mechanical field of study or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred.
