Job Description

We are looking for a detail oriented, organized, positive individual for our Human Resources Coordinator position!

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting the HR department by providing support for the smooth and timely execution of ongoing HR processes and transactions.  The Human Resources Coordinator handles a variety of HR activities including those related to recruitment, benefits administration, employee engagement, personnel record keeping and data entry, and HR compliance.

The HR Coordinator's responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to all internal and external customers including employees, vendors, and job candidates
  • Supporting the recruiting process through managing the applicant tracking system, processing applications, conducting telephone interviews, and coordinating in-person interviews
  • Assisting in proactive recruiting efforts including participating in career fairs and conducting job board searches
  • Administering background checks
  • Assisting with employee onboarding through creation of new hire packets, timely processing of new hire information and conducting new hire orientation
  • Completing E-Verify for new employees
  • Processing benefits enrollment and inputting benefit updates and changes into vendor websites; reconciling monthly invoices
  • Processing employee separations and status changes, including but not limited to updating the HRIS and intranet
  • Assisting in planning and coordinating employee events and engagement activities, including communicating event details to employees through intranet and email
  • Assisting in developing and coordinating bank-wide education programs and presentations
  • Administering and managing NMLS registration for Mortgage Loan Officers
  • Tracking and completing OSHA reporting
  • Other activities, duties or responsibilities that are required may be assigned


  • Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Two (2) years related Human Resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations
  • Competence in Microsoft Office programs required; experience in HR information systems helpful
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail
  • Independent problem solving skills; demonstrates sound judgement and decision-making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters
