Training Specialist


Nebraska Families Collaborative (NFC) is currently seeking a Training Specialist to coordinate and assist in implementing formal and informal training for all staff, manage training schedules and prepare supporting materials for training, gathers data to assist in analyzing training needs, serves as the liaison for training communication to the workforce, and assist in the development of employee knowledge and skills. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years of child welfare experience
  • Preferred experience with curriculum development, presentation, and facilitation
  • Extensive knowledge and implementation of Structured Decision Making model
  • The ability to train case management policies and processes upon start date



  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or a related field plus a minimum of two years administrative or training experience is required.
  • Ability to research, plan, organize and conduct training programs, seminars, and conferences.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with employees and other agencies.
  • Knowledge of community supports/resources is a plus.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to develop, review, and revise material for training programs.
  • Ability to communicate in written or oral form with all levels of management and employees and external vendors or consultants.
  • Must possess valid driver's license with a good driving record, plus ability to provide own transportation to complete travel requirements of job.
