On a daily basis, Deposit Operations Specialists will be primarily responsible for items within one particular group of responsibilities as defined below in Major Duties and Responsibilities. As necessary, the position will also act as a back-up to the duties in other groups as they develop within the position and expand their knowledge of Deposit Operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Group 1 Duties:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely posting of incoming and outgoing Wire transfers.
- Responsible for the daily review of EFT reports for possible debit card fraud. Recommend and implement necessary safeguards to reduce risk to the bank.
- Responsible for the re-order of all debit cards and PINs.
- Responsible for the research of debit card cases (Enfact) and the proper notification to our processor. Responsible for the timely response to these cases and the close of cards if necessary
- Responsible for the processing of Reg E Claims. Must adhere to all compliance regulations.
Group 2 Duties:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely posting of incoming and outgoing Wire transfers.
- Responsible for the monitoring of ACH origination files and Merchant Capture deposits to ensure adherence to policy.
- Responsible for Quality Assurance review of branch transactions and maintenance. (Stop payments, Change of address, Reg CC Holds, Signature cards)
- Responsible for the processing of daily exception items (NSF, non-post, stop payments, returns and chargebacks).
- Responsible for the daily review of Web capture, ACH files and large dollar items.
- Responsible for the daily processing of foreign items and proof corrections.
- Responsible for monitoring negative accounts.
Group 3 Duties:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely posting of incoming and outgoing Wire transfers.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Imaging System ensuring proper input of documents and item destruction.
- Assist in the processing of collections and charge offs.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate posting of Currency Transaction Reports.
- Responsible for the daily account review of fraud alerts and anti-money laundering alerts. Also taking proper steps for their complete resolution.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience in banking industry preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of all financial institution policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, ability to handle multiple priorities and produce results, ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Self-motivated/takes initiative.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Ability to effectively work with colleagues and on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes.
