Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Nuclear Instructor I or II (Operations) located at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Nebraska. Position closes 06/11/2023 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. This position will report to the Training Supervisor (ILT) in the Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS) Training Department

Instructors assigned to this position are accountable to both accredited and non-accredited training programs. This position is responsible for developing, scheduling, and presenting quality training to the staff at Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS). This position is also responsible for maintaining training programs consistent with NRC, INPO, ANI, and NPPD/CNS requirements.
Nuclear Instructor I: Bachelor's Degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience (OR) an associate's degree and ten (10) years relevant experience (OR) a high school diploma and 12 years relevant experience.
Instructors assigned to the ESP Program require a bachelor's degree in science or engineering with (8) years of relevant experience. Relevant experience is defined as working experience in the related technical area. An additional one year of experience in instructional/training activities is highly desired.
Nuclear Instructor II: Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience (OR) an associates degree and six years relevant experience (OR) a high school diploma and eight years relevant experience. Relevant experience is defined as working experience in the related technical area with an additional one year of experience in instructional/training related activities is highly desirable.
Senior Reactor Certification (SRO) as applicable.
Prepare and present instruction in support of accredited nuclear training programs at CNS. Evaluate trainee performance. Arrange and coordinate instruction provided by vendors. Develop, maintain, and modify instructional materials. Document training and communicate/provide information to satisfy NRC and NPPD/CNS requirements. Participate in training required to maintain knowledge and skills as an instructor.
