Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has immediate openings for several Temporary Map-Board Project Contractor Escorts located in Doniphan and/or York. Posting closes May 7, 2021.

Anticipated work hours are 7am to 5pm, 10 hour days, two to four days per week.
Work is expected to start approximately April 5, and is anticipated to end no later than December 31, 2021.
These positions will report to the Doniphan Facility Services Supervisor.
Monitor and escort contractors performing work within Physical Security Perimeters (PSP) at the Back Up Control Center (BUCC) and or the Doniphan Control Center (DCC). Contractor Escort will be responsible for following North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) regulations of Escorting non-badged personnel into and out of PSP boundaries. Contractor Escort is responsible for the non-badged personnel and their actions while inside of the PSP and must maintain line of sight of those personnel while escorting them inside of PSP’s. Contractor Escort must be familiar with NERC CIP regulations as well as be familiar with site Emergency Action Plans (EAP). In the event of an emergency the Contractor Escort is responsible for getting themselves and all personnel they are escorting to the appropriate shelter or mustering point for the facility they are at.
Education, Training and Experience
Previous NPPD employment, preferred.
Licenses and/or Certifications
NERC Background Check:
A personnel risk assessment, which includes a NERC Cyber Background and criminal history check, is performed on all individuals with unescorted access to the District’s cyber/physical protected assets and information. Your employment in this position will be contingent on obtaining and maintaining unescorted access to these assets and information.
Salary Information - Nebraska Public Power District offers a competitive starting salary with opportunities for growth.
$25 per hour
Temporary NPPD employees are not eligible to participate in NPPD’s benefit programs and are not eligible for paid?time leaves.
Travel Required: Will vary by location of successful candidate. Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.
