The Reactor Services Program Manager provides overall direction and leadership in the planning and coordination of all activities/ tasks associated with the refuel floor during both outage and on-line. Activities include new fuel receipt and inspection, spent fuel pool operations, PMs and corrective maintenance of the refuel bridge, main crane, auxiliary hoists and cranes, RPV assembly and disassembly, mobilization and demobilization of vendors and their equipment, reactor refueling, and associated under vessel work (neutron monitoring and CRDM). Serves as the single point of contact for the refuel services contract.
This position may be assigned to a position within the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) that requires response to the station when an emergency is declared. Assignment to one of these positions and a condition of continued employment will be the ability to arrive at the station to perform ERO responsibilities within 45 minutes of notification of an emergency.
Education, Training and Experience
BS Degree plus 10 years experience as described below OR 15+ years experience as described below, 5 of which must be in engineering, design, or project management in commercial nuclear power.
Prior Related Experience:
Experience in nuclear power design, operations, construction, maintenance, project management, PS&O, dry fuel storage/outage schedule, work control or equivalent is required. Technical proficiency in Reactor Vessel Maintenance is strongly preferred.
5 years supervisory experience is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years in dry fuel, outage, work control, operations, plant engineering or maintenance along with technical proficiency in outage planning is strongly preferred.
The incumbent should possess a broad understanding of all regulatory, operational, administrative and technical aspects of managing projects within a multi-discipline nuclear organization.
Licenses and/or Certifications
Current or previous NRC Reactor Operator License, SRO
Certification, or equivalent training preferred.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
Salary Information - Nebraska Public Power District offers a competitive starting salary with opportunities for growth.
$103,488 to $133,284 Annually
Travel Required: Up to 25% to support other nuclear plant outages. Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.
