Incumbent has overall authority, responsibility, direction, and budget accountability for all corporate enterprise technology application systems, application technology transformation projects, and daily application work necessary to support the day to day business needs of the organization in collaboration with the District’s Technology Roadmap, Technology Screening, and Future State Enablers / Aspirations as outlined by the District’s Competitive Advantage work. This includes planning, organizing, directing and controlling all application support, licensing, maintenance, upgrade, enhancement, and end user support activities carried out by the Corporate Technology Application team. Strives to create and deploy relatively new and emerging process and system transformations focused on changing the way NPPD performs work in support of streamlined and automated workflows while utilizing strategic sourcing to maximize the value of the overall solution. Accountable for administration and oversight of the Corporate Technology Applications work group including providing work direction, resource planning, hiring, performance management, salary administration, and employee disciplinary action.
Education, Training and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering or a related technical field is required. Seven years of experience in operations technology, information technology, or application technology is required. Experience in project leadership, configuration management, and application support is required. At least five years must be in a progressive managerial/supervisory role.
Experience with business continuity planning, audit & ethics, contract and vendor negotiations, and implementation/support of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution such as SAP is preferred.
Experience in electric utility business processes and applications including work management, materials management, financial or human resources, billing, web strategies and management preferred.
Salary Information: $116,400 - $149,913 annually
Travel Required: Up to 25% (With no or minimal overnight stays, less than 3 per month, typically within state of Nebraska) Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.
