Incumbent is responsible for ensuring CNS computer and technology-related needs are met in a timely, cost effective fashion, while providing great customer service so that NPPD can continue to deliver safe, low cost, and reliable energy. The Information Technology Manager – Nuclear accomplishes this through alignment with site and corporate management and by obtaining the best performance from the people who report through this position. The incumbent is accountable for administration and oversight of the Nuclear Information Technology staff, including providing work direction, coaching and reinforcing human performance and industrial safety behaviors, making recommendations and/or decisions for hiring, performance improvement, salary administration and employee disciplinary actions, as necessary.
Incumbent has sole responsibility and accountability to the Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Cooper Nuclear Station management and business process owners for all management, development, contracting, provisioning and maintenance of all digital Information Technology resources and infrastructure used and installed at Cooper Nuclear Station in accordance with NPPD/CNS IT policies, procedures and standards. This excludes some digital process control units.
The Information Technology Manager – Nuclear reports primarily to the Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO); however, for responsibilities related to management or implementation of the CNS Cyber Security Program, the IT Manager reports directly to the Vice President/Chief Nuclear Officer (CNO), who has overall responsibility and accountability for the site Cyber Security Program (CSP). The VP/CNO ensures that the required resources are available to develop and implement the Cyber Security Program, in accordance with the CNS Cyber Security Plan.
Education, Training and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business or similar discipline plus 5 years’ experience in computer system, application, or cyber security is required. At least three years must be in a managerial/supervisory role within the information technology or cyber/compliance security footprint.
Experience in a nuclear generating facility or with real-time and business computing applications, configuration management and/or quality assurance is desirable.
Salary Information: $9,700-$12,493 Monthly
Travel Required: Up to 25% (With no or minimal overnight stays, less than 3 per month, typically within state of Nebraska) Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.
