Job Summary:

In a career as an Licensed Practical Nurse, you join us in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region. In this role, you will provide basic nursing care and perform identified clinical support tasks within the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) scope of practice in conjunction with the medical staff.

Schedules: Full-Time, Monday-Wednesday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Thursday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Location: Lakeside Clinic


  • Provides safe, accurate and clinically competent direct care based on patient needs.
    • Obtains vital signs and height/weight and documents in a thorough, accurate and timely manner in the electronic medical record (EMR).
      • Collects from the patient required information such as smoking status, allergies and medication list and documents in a thorough, accurate and timely manner in the EMR.
        • Gathers necessary information and facilitates the process for obtaining prior authorization of psychotropic medications.
          • Provides relevant patient education.
            • Responds to questions from patients, relays information to the provider and communicates direction from the provider to the patient; documents relevant information in the EMR.
              • Manages patient requests for refills of prescription medications in a timely manner.
                • Participates in applications for alternative levels of care.
                  • Answers telephones and utilizes the EMR to schedule patient appointments.

                  Required Qualifications:

                  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
                  • Possesses a current Nebraska state license or current compact state license as a practical nurse
                  • Previous experience using an electronic medical record
                  • Previous experience in an ambulatory health care facility, preferred
                  • CPR Certification.
