Job Summary:

In a career as an Advanced Practice RN-Pediatric Surgery, you join us in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region. In this role, you will provide medical services to patients in a clinic setting.

Schedule: Part-Time, 30 hours a week, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Practices health promotion, health supervision, illness prevention and diagnosis, treatment, and management of common health problems and acute and chronic conditions including assessing patients ordering diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments, synthesizing and analyzing data, and analyzing advanced nursing principles.
    • May perform other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in collaboration with the attending physician.
      • Participates in multidisciplinary rounds.
        • Works collaboratively with nursing staff, respiratory therapy staff, and other departments to promote quality and safe patient care.
          • Promotes professionalism within the pediatric care team, other departments, families and patients.
            • Promotes a culture of safety and a non-punitive environment.
              • Attends appropriate committee meetings and educational functions of BTNRH, as required.
                • Complies with all Nebraska statutes and regulations related to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.
                  • Assists with research projects, as needed.
                    • Assists with training of residents and students, as needed.

                    Required Qualifications:

                    • Registered Nurse with 3-5 years experience in a health care setting
                    • Masters Degree in Nursing with previous clinical experience in a health care setting, minimum of 1-2 years experience
                    • Must be licensed as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of Nebraska
                    • Must have current BLS certification and complete PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
