Job Summary: In a career as a Research Assistant, your behind-the-scenes work is what leads to making the magic of our mission come true every day. You will join us in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region. In the Research Assistant role, you support the development and completion of research and evaluation projects by participating in research and evaluation activities. No matter your role at Boys Town, you contribute to helping us change the way America cares for children and families.

Schedule: On-call. Variable schedule and number of weekly hours (typically work from 2 to 10 hours per week -no minimum) availability needed for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

NOT A REMOTE postion. Must be available to come into the office in the OMAHA area.

Responsibilities : Conducting standardized phone interviews with adolescent research participants. Use "CATI" Computer assisted telephone interviews.

  • Assists with the implementation of evaluation and research projects using standardized techniques.
  • Completes routine data collection and data entry. Disseminates information as appropriate.
  • Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and promote awareness and moral principles of the Mission, Vision, & Values of Boys Town

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Psychology, Sociology, related area, or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience including human services; phone and/or research experience is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word are a must.
  • Must have ability to multi-task.
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
