The professional registered nurse-float utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice in multiple Boys Town Specialty Clinic locations and departments incorporating: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, thus providing continuing health care to individuals, families, and communities. The professional registered nurse-float must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the departments policies and procedures.
1) A registered nurse who is a graduate of an accredited school with a current state license, required,
2) Minimum of one year of experience in an ambulatory health care facility or a hospital, preferred, and
3) Must be BLS certified, and
4) Prior working knowledge of using a personal computer and electronic medical records.
