    Position Summary

    This entry-level position is a critical member of the team with the primary responsibility of identifying and responding to the needs of University of Nebraska High School (UNHS) students, parents, proctors, schools, learning centers, faculty and staff. This position answers and responds to incoming UNHS calls and emails, processes registrations, payments, drops, refunds, program inquiries, analyzes and resolves customer issues.


    Receive and process enrollments, payments, drops, extensions, miscellaneous billings (transcript evaluation, credit validation testing, and transcript requests fees). Update databases accurately (demographic, enrollment, proctor and comment entries) in appropriate UNHS systems to keep electronic records current.


    Receive and respond to calls and emails to UNHS. Maintains positive and consistent customer relationships, analyzes and resolves customer issues.


    Effectively responds to students, proctors, and parents questions regarding use of the UNHS course management system and UNHS web store. Communicates with teaching staff and administrative staff to help resolve questions and problems experienced by UNHS customers. Communicates with and directs customers in the use of web tools used by UNHS. As necessary works with “expert” staff to resolve technical issues.


    Process Parchment transcript requests, receive, prepare and process student assignments and tests submitted on computer scan cards.  Receive, record and route mailed and faxed assignments for grading to UNHS Instructional staff and return graded assignments to students/proctors.


    Other duties as needed.  Including, but not limited to processing transcript requests, scanning and archiving student records.  Receive, prepare, and route transcript evaluations and Iowa Tests of Educational Development to UNHS Academic Advising staff for evaluation.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Two years post-secondary education in Business, Education or related field plus 3 years of Customer Service experience, required. Telephone customer service experience preferred. Experience in an educational setting is desired. Equivalent combination of education, experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
