Midwest Eye Care is looking for a Patient Service Rep at our location at 13500 California Street in Omaha, NE.

Full-time, Monday - Friday

8:00am – 5:00pm

In this role YOU will:

Answer and triage patient phone calls and direct them appropriately in an ophthalmology practice with 6 different locations across the Omaha metro area, Council Bluffs and Fremont.
Route all non-patient incoming calls appropriately within the practice.
Schedule and reschedule appointments according to office guidelines.
Serve as a liaison between the patient, and various departments.
Documents in the electronic patient record.
Respond to and handle various requests for medical records.
Upon request, provide copies of eyeglass prescription(s) to third parties.

Outstanding candidates will have:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to identify, analyze, and solve patient concerns.
Experience delivering positive professional phone customer service experience at all times.
The ability to navigate in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
Willingness to learn the optical environment.
Ability to sit for extended periods of the work day.
