• Description

  Midwest Eye Care is looking for an Optician at our locations in West Omaha (13500 California Street), Mid-Town (4353 Dodge Street) and Council Bluffs (715 Harmony St)

   Full-time (40 hours per week)

  Monday, Wednesday- Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm or 8:30am – 5:30pm / Tuesday 10am - 7pm (West Omaha only)

   

  In this role YOU will:

  • Assist patients with glasses frame and lens selection
  • Adjust and repair glasses.
  • Educate patients on differences in materials and lens styles.
  • Neutralize and transpose prescriptions.
  • Take accurate optical measurements.
  • Explain vision benefits to patients.
  • Communicate with lab and patients regarding orders.

   

  Outstanding candidates will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills, a positive demeanor and a teamwork mindset.
  • Willingness to learn. On-site training provided.  Have experience?   No problem we pay for experience.
  • Willingness to travel between different locations in the Omaha Metro area. (We pay mileage and travel time)
  • This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED

   

  Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:

  • Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification and a motor vehicle record check
  • Successfully complete drug, alcohol and nicotine testing.
