Position Overview

The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst will act as an IT extension to payroll and human resources.  This position will be instrumental in managing integrity of the ADP Human Capital Management database; ensuring quality through maintenance of the system including, but not limited to, functional testing and on-going operational responsibilities. 

 

Responsibilities will include ensuring best practice of payroll and HR processes and defined standards across the organization.  This position will serve as a subject matter expert on employee and position data management, work flows and administrative set up and maintenance of data structures and business processes within ADP Workforcenow ensuring overall cohesiveness within the system.  The candidate will be responsible for implementing new and enhancing existing cloud configurations, supporting complex transaction processing, and issue resolution.  Given the highly personal information, the HRIS analyst will also be in charge of maintaining the security of the system, using computer skills to keep data safe, organized and properly stored.  This position will also be responsible for administering appropriate levels of access to those who are authorized to utilize the system.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages and oversees the organization's ADP Human Capital Management (HRIS) System.
  • Develops, implements, and modifies software and hardware requirements based on changing business requirements.
  • Maintains internal database files and tables, and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of company management and staff.
  • Provides the necessary training to meet end user’s needs.
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
  • Has full authority to maintain all aspects of the ADP Human Capital Management system.
  • Gain extensive knowledge of departmental processes that tie into all aspects of the system’s functionality.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for technical issues pertaining to ADP’s Human Capital Management (HRIS) System.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

 

The position requires business/application analytical skills and experience with producing requirements/testing documents. The ability to work cohesively with the HR and Payroll leadership teams is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, organizational, communication, prioritization, multi-tasking, decision making, project management and problem solving skills. Experience IT processes and practices and Cloud technology is a plus.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred in the field of computer science or a closely related field
  • Solid business knowledge of Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Time and Labor, and Scheduling systems
  • At least 3-5 years analyst experience in business technical analysis and requirements gathering, including responsibility for developing relevant documentation
  • Demonstrated project management skills and delivery of project deliverables, work papers and other project artifacts.
  •  Communication Skills: HRIS analysts are often called to present their findings, or translate the data into an understandable document. You will need to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
  • Critical Thinking: HRIS analysts must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
  • Attention to Detail: Data is precise. HRIS analysts have to make sure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct conclusions.
  • Math Skills: HRIS analysts need math skills to estimate numerical data.
