Job Duties:

• Greets patients in a kind and caring manner. 
• Administers sub Q and IM injections of non-chemotherapy medications.
• Reviews lab results with patients both in person and over the phone.
• Collects, prepares and delivers laboratory specimens as directed.
• Instructs patients regarding medications and special diets.
• Authorizes drug refills via electronic prescription service and/or telephoning to a pharmacy.
• Obtains vital signs on chemotherapy patients during their infusions.
• Assists patients with transportation and personal needs.

Requirements

• Completion of medical assistant program or CNA with phlebotomy certificate required.
• Knowledge of EMR systems such as Cerner, Epic, and Onco. 
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to communicate effectively and in a compassionate manner.
