Position functions in collaboration with other members of the Information Technology Services (ITS) Hospital Applications Department to build, maintain and provide end user support for Madonnaâ??s clinical systems. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and consistently adhere to all content build and naming convention standards and best practices. Work will be performed in an ethical and legal manner following organizational policies, processes, protocols and procedures. Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for Madonna as a whole, including upholding the mission and values for the department and facility.



  1. Build and maintain content designed for efficient clinical workflows that support clinical staff in providing the highest quality of patient care while meeting regulatory requirements.
  2. Adhere to the content build and naming convention standards established to support quality assurance.
  3. Maintain accurate and timely entry of system modifications for change control purposes.
  4. Assist other analysts with clinical software release testing and validation.

  1. Collaborate with other analysts, clinical leaders and IT staff to complete projects and tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Provide support for clinical solutions by addressing in-person queries, answering the clinical support phone line and responding to e-mail support requests in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Participate in an on-call rotation that provides support for clinical solutions during evening, night, weekend and holiday hours.
  4. Actively participate on project teams and/or committees as assigned.
  5. Follows instruction from supervisor to perform other functions as assigned in order to achieve the goals within the department and/or system.
  6. Assist end users with proper analysis of workflows, detailed documentation of need and clearly defined desired outcomes when completing clinical system and report change requests.
  7. Perform quality assurance testing to ensure all developed solutions meet or exceed the desired outcomes defined in the userâ??s request.

  1. Maintain and ensure a safe environment for the department.
  2. Maintain a clean and professional work space that is free of clutter.
  3. Handle and operate all necessary equipment and perform required duties according to established safety standards to maintain compliance with regulations and prevent injury.
  4. Assist with ensuring cleanliness of equipment and environment.

Indoor, sedentary work. Occasionally lifts and carries up to 30 pounds.
Some climbing, stooping and crouching. Requires enough sight to see and read a computer screen throughout the day. Requires enough hearing and speaking to communicate by phone or in person.

Requires a healthcare related certification or an associate's or bachelorâ??s degree. A combination of education and applicable work experience that demonstrates technical competence may be considered in lieu of a formal certification or degree. Hospital based clinical experience that required interaction with an electronic medical record system is preferred. Must be analytical and detail oriented. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work both independently and within a team environment in an effective and efficient manner.
