DEPARTMENT FUNCTION/JOB OVERVIEW
Instructs and leads yoga classes and workshops in a safe manner using proper exercise, body mechanics, and properly arranged cues and programs. . Responsible for quality service delivery with internal and external customer satisfaction for Madonna as a whole while upholding Madonna√Ę??s mission and values.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Must have constant near visual acuity with ordinary hearing and speaking skills. Frequent lift and carry of 25 pounds. Constant movement such as walking while conducting multiple classes daily. Requires frequent bending and stooping. Must tolerate occasional to frequent horizontal reaching with both arms. Frequent grasping of both hands requiring normal grip strength based on national averages. Has potential for contact with body fluids or blood when providing emergency care.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/training and/or Experience)
Prefer certification from a nationally recognized agency. Experience instructing yoga classes preferred. Completion of registered yoga instructor training program required. Yoga certifications preferred include, but are not limited to, 200 hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) training accredited by Yoga Alliance, International Yoga Federation, International Association of Yoga Therapists, YogaFit or another recognized RYT training.
CPR/AED certified preferred.
