DEPARTMENT FUNCTION/JOB OVERVIEW

 

Responsible for program development, implementation, oversight and evaluation of behavioral health (wellness) programs for Fit for Work corporate clients. Responsible for development and delivery of nutrition based and medically based programs and presentations.  Provide individualized nutrition counseling for FFW clients. Develop positive relationships with client companies, human resource managers, safety directors, supervisors, managers, professional and service organizations and occupational health nurse by promoting Madonna FFW programs and services. Promote and support the organizationâ??s mission, values and guiding principle statements within the organization and to the public.  Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for this department and Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital as a whole, including upholding the mission and values of the department and facility.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

(INFORMATION)

  1. Develop and deliver wellness nutrition and medically based program for FFW clients.
  2. Create and design promotional materials for companies to utilize within the organization in order to encourage and promote participation.
  3. Analyze and report behavioral health data acquired from programs to provide feedback to clients and utilize for future program development. Responsible for managing reports for internal and external audiences.

 (PEOPLE)

  1. Conduct individualized wellness coaching sessions and support client in developing goals and strategies for success.
  2. Work collaboratively with FFW staff to develop and deliver wellness programs.
  3. Communicate efficiently with others in both individual and group contexts.
  4. Mentor clients and staff to assist them in their personal and professional development.
  5. Professional networking to develop positive external relationships and to identify areas of future development, collaboration and joint ventures.
  6. Must perceive customer relations as a primary focus and continually strive to satisfy the needs of every customer in all areas of the work force.
  7. Follow instruction from manager to perform other functions as assigned in order to achieve the goals within the department and Madonna as a whole.  Participate on teams and/or committees as requested.

 (THINGS)

  1. Maintain and assure a safe environment for the department. Handle and operate all necessary equipment and perform required duties according to the established safety standards to maintain compliance with regulations and to prevent injuries.
  2. Operate computer software such as email, Microsoft office products, etc.
  3. Operate computer, fax machine, copiers and printers.
  4. Provide and operates motor vehicle and travels as necessary in order to contact and service clients.
  5. Assist with ensuring cleanliness of equipment and environment.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Light work with occasional lift and carry up to 25 pounds.  Frequent lift and carry up to 10 pounds.  Frequent walk and stand.  Must tolerate frequent standing with sustained periods of up to 3 hours.  Frequent grasping of both hands requiring normal grip strength based on national averages.  Constant near visual acuity, ordinary hearing and speaking skills.  Frequent travel required. Mobility required for travel to scheduled events or meetings as needed.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/training and/or Experience)

Bachelorâ??s degree required, preferably in health sciences, promotion, nutrition and psychology required.  Three years experience in wellness programming preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Spreadsheet, PowerPoint required. Current Nebraska Dieticians l license required.  Valid Nebraska driverâ??s license and proof of good driving record required.
