FOODWORKER

Duties:
• Measure and combine ingredients, assists in preparing foods, and perform cooking tasks for menu
items as specified
• Transport and set up food and equipment for service areas; replenish as needed
• Serve food in serving line
• Performs sanitation duties in serving, dining, and kitchen area
• Serve as checker and report number of persons served to enable accurate record keeping
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
• Knowledge of methods and practices of food preparation, sanitation, and service
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting (50 pounds), bending, and standing for prolonged
periods
• Maintain effective working relationships with others
• Ability to maintain records of quantities of ingredients used, volume of production, and numbers of
customers served
• Previous experience working with students who are deaf/hard of hearing or blind/visually impaired is
preferred
All staff are expected to reach the designated level of sign language proficiency within the time frame of
the school's sign language policy.

Hours: School year, Monday-Thursday 9:30am-7:00pm, Friday 9:30am-1:30pm (hours may shift
occasionally as needed); with occasional weekend hours
Pay/Benefits: entry pay $13.89/hr; health and dental insurance, retirement plan options, flex spending
