Role Snapshot:
The Exercise Assistant supports each resident’s physical and functional wellness program while collaborating with PT, OT, and SLP's. The exercise assistant will work alongside direct care team members in playing an active role in supporting resident ADL's. This is a physical position with time spent facilitating traditional therapies as well as:
The Exercise Assistant complies with the resident’s therapy program, reports residents’ participation & progress in exercise program to therapists, and attends care conferences with residents, family members, and other healthcare professionals. The Exercise Assistant will occasionally conduct in-service training to other team members, as well as participate in new team member orientation.
