Role Snapshot:

As the Environmental Services Specialist, you will assist with instilling pride and ownership in QLI’s environment.  You are primarily responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of community spaces. Daily tasks may include:

  1. Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment and perform minor repairs as needed on equipment.
  2. Maintain, stock, order and inventory supplies.
  3. Clean and remove debris from entryways.
  4. Identify, rectify and notify appropriate persons regarding unsafe conditions.
  5. Clean and disinfect interior of building, including floors, windows, mirrors, rugs, emptying trash, cleaning and maintaining restrooms.

Skills:

  1. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of floor care equipment
  2. Knowledge of how to clean and maintain various flooring options
  3. Knowledge of various cleaning products and their proper use
  4. Good communication skills
  5. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
  6. Good organization and time-management skills
  7. Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemicals

Experience:

  1. One-year janitorial experience.
  2. Must know how to use, maintain and repair cleaning equipment.
  3. High school or GED (preferred).

Vaccination Requirements:

1. All team members are required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination. If needed, we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge.

2. Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season. If needed, we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge.
