The Nutrition Services Assistant performs nutrition assessments, basic nutritional education, and other services under the direction of a registered dietician. The ideal candidate will: possess an optimistic outlook; have excellent communication skills (both written and oral); be flexible; be autonomous; be a collaborative team player; and be willing to learn.
A successful candidate will:
--Understand and provide basic nutritional education
--Accurately complete data collection
--Possess knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets
--Efficiently perform nutritional assessments
--Assist with nutritional analysis and meal prep for company healthy eating program (GRIT eats)
--Assist Coordinator of GRIT services (adaptive certified CrossFit program) with training sessions
--Consistently provide excellent customer service skills
Education and Certifications:
--Must be at least 18 years old (required)
--High school diploma or G.E.D. (required)
--One of the following (preferred):
DTR: Dietetic Technician Registered, or
NDTR: Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR) by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Schedule: Part-time day hours (Tuesday, Thursday, flexible with 3rd day)
