Convenience Store Route Driver

Seeking a part time route driver Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 

Approximately 15 hours a week needed to deliver and pick up items from various locations in timely fashion while consistently maintaining a pleasant, customer service attitude.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Load and deliver, transferred product between Panhandle Coop locations.

 

Maintain transfer records making and reporting changes as necessary.  Recording transfers on daily log.

 

Drive vehicle in a safe and lawful manner in changing weather conditions.

 

Keeps supervisor informed of any problems or concerns encountered;

Keeps vehicle clean and lets supervisor know if service or maintenance is necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple messages. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

 

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
