SUMMARY
Provide customer service to patrons of the station in a professional and friendly manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Pump fuel, check fluid levels and clean windows for customers in full service and self-service when time allows.
  • Fill propane bottles within safety regulations.
  • Provide cleanup and maintenance to the station facilities on a daily and as needed basis.
  • Maintain adequate stock, refilling when necessary. Assist in inventory management.
  • Serve as carwash attendant in professional and friendly manner when needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE-No prior experience or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid drivers license that meets MVR standards set by company.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, explosives, and risk of radiation. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
