Position Overview: Manages the installation, repair, upkeep and maintenance of structural, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and preventive maintenance for all buildings & grounds, facilities, equipment and fire suppression systems, and housekeeping for the Distribution Center. This position oversees approximately 12 other maintenance associates.
Essential Job Functions:
Directs and oversees maintenance and housekeeping staff in performance of site duties. Supervises the daily activities of personnel, schedules and assigns work, checks for completion and quality of work, and aids associates in achieving company and personal goals.
Ensures all warehouse equipment is properly serviced and maintained for a highly automated and technical facility by performing preventative maintenance to include, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulic assessment/repair and provide direction to the Automated Systems Technician.
Manages the completion of projects with minimal business interruption. Supervises internal staff and/or outside vendors in the completion of projects involving buildings, facilities, grounds, equipment, and fire suppression systems.
Responsible for managing assigned budgets. This includes providing input for capital expenditures projects and validating project completion.
Coordinates the work of outside vendors/contractors on capital projects or repairs. Obtains bids on labor, materials and schedules and communicates with Sr. Operations management for project scheduling and progress. Responsible for enforcing completion of service tickets.
Administers the ordering of janitorial and maintenance supplies and contracts for waste disposal services. Identifies parts and supplies needed to maintain appropriate level of inventory and spare parts to minimize downtime and limit expenses.
Keeps site management appraised of projects and status of day-to-day operations. Attends operations meetings, prepares reports on project status, budget, inventory, scheduling of work, and outstanding issues.
Responsible for environmental compliances and the property recycling program.
Responsible for the Energy Management Program for the property.
Maintains a safe workplace. Assists in the facility's team effort to maintain a safe workplace by maintaining compliance and correcting routine issues.
Responsible for outfitters payroll, hiring, reviews and coaching. Insures staffing levels are correct to support the organization.
Other Duties as Assigned by Management.
Minimum Education and Work Experience Requirements
Associateâ??s Degree or Equivalent Experience
4 to 6+ Yearsâ?? experience in a Maintenance supervisory or management position in a large facility with mechanical, electrical, or construction skills (preferred)
