CLUB Finance Analyst (#28487BR) in the Accounting & Finance department.   
The financial/banking facility is located near the Highlands (NW 1st and Superior Street): 4800 NW 1st St, Lincoln, NE 68521
SUMMARY:  Provides assistance to ensure all Accounting & Finance functions are completed accurately and timely.  Prepares short-term cash flow forecasts and long-term interest rate analysis.  Prepares and/or reviews workpapers and internal/external reporting with level of complexity ranging from moderate to complex for every period-end review.  Provides support for cash and debt management functions.  Influences business decision making through effective communication and strong working relationships.  Assists management, auditors, and other departments as needed.  Performs other duties as requested by management.  Adheres to company's policies and procedures regarding confidential and sensitive information.  Ability to consistently exceed customer expectations and show commitment to Cabelas Core Values.
Cabelas offers three levels of CLUB Finance Analyst.  Candidates will be considered for any of the three.  The future incumbents offer of position level will be based on the candidate's experience and work responsibility.

  • Prepares and/or reviews workpapers and internal/external reporting at a moderate to complex level including period-end covenant and debt reporting.  Reporting is provided to Executive Management, external auditors, and other key internal/external stakeholders.
  • Researches moderate to complex accounting and regulatory pronouncements and provides recommendations on impact to business practices and prepare memos on changes.
  • Performs moderate to complex financial and treasury analysis.  Analysis is provided to Executive Management and other key internal stakeholders to influence business decision making.
  • Assists with debt issuance and treasury management functions including certificates of deposit and asset-backed securitization.
  • Collaborates with external parties such as deposit brokers, legal counsel, rating agencies, and underwriters.
  • Leads internal department projects; participates on cross-functional projects.  For internal projects, identifies project scope and objectives, sets deadlines for completion, and delegates and monitors task completion.  For cross-functional projects, provides feedback and expertise on behalf of department, executes tasks, and makes decisions.
  • Leads execution of simple to moderate department processes and identifies and drives continuous improvement.  Ensures compliance with relevant controls and develops, designs, and executes controls where appropriate.

4-6+ years of equivalent experience preferred but not required, may consider education in lieu of experience.  Master's Degree or CPA is preferred.  Must have the ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments simultaneously, free of error, and exceed customer expectations.  Have an understanding of accounting and banking rules and regulations.  Demonstrate thorough understanding of business processes within accounting and their impact on the organization.  Must efficiently use multiple forms of accounting and banking software (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SQL, etc).  Effectively communicate with key internal and external stakeholders related to assigned tasks and projects.  Passionate about Cabela's core values, creating legendary customer experience, and building brand loyalty through exceptional service.  Exemplary standards of integrity, personal work ethic, and continuous involvement in self-education and development.  Must demonstrate accountability by taking ownership, being responsible, and embracing opportunities.
