This position has responsibility for developing and executing a successful split testing program for Cabelas digital platforms.  This requires a deep understanding of research methods which include testing principals and test design to accurately collect data that correctly measures differences in outcomes.  It also requires the technical skills to run the tools and analyze the results.  This position has a significant role in recommending changes to our digital programs and platforms to impact our bottom line results for both direct and retail.  This position will manage the testing process and collaborate with a cross-functional team to identify testing opportunities, align resources, prioritize efforts to drive results.

  • Manage the split test request process including prioritizing requests, designing both the statistical and technical approaches, building the test within the toolset and executing/analyzing the results, including recommendations.
  • Manage vendor support and leverage internal resources to maintain an optimal testing platform and process.
  • Manage integration points with other departments and systems.  Technical integrations with our analytics platforms.  Process integrations for supporting operational efforts as well as design projects.
  • Manage, assess, and prioritize the testing request pipeline focusing on a combination of ROI analysis and digital customer experience.
  • Manage budget related to split testing hardware/software/resources
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6 to 8+ Years
  • The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the following areas:
    • Experience using Web Split Testing tools such as SiteSpect, Google Test, Adobe Target
    • Proficiency with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Regular Expressions
    • Experience using web analytics tools such as Webtrends, Google Analytics, or Adobe Analytics
    • Proficiency with database tools like SQL, SaaS, Hadoop
    • Knowledge of statistical methods and sample sizing
    • Knowledge and understanding of E-commerce marketing and merchandising practices
