Weatherization Project Manager

The Weatherization Project Manager is a full-time position at Habitat for Humanity of Omaha and is responsible for ensuring energy efficiency related projects are completed on time and within budgetary constraints, among other duties. The Weatherization Project Manager reports to the Weatherization Program Manager. 

Requirements

Essential Duties:

• Oversee energy efficiency projects from start to finish to include:

          - Managing Health & Safety Inspections, Energy Audits, Quality Control Inspections, and other related on-site inspections

          - Coordinating work completion by sub-contractors

          - Scheduling work completion by Weatherization Carpentry Field Technicians

          - Monitoring project costs to maintain budgets

          - Create and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors to include:

• Building a pool of partner subcontractors qualified and able to complete related work
• Monitoring performance and documenting work quality to minimize warranty items
• Coordinating and communicating to ensure appropriate project completion timeline

          - Work within bounds of NDEE and SWS guidelines to maximize program impact, address individual health & safety concerns,   and resolve issues

• Collaborate with Weatherization Program and Administrative Manager(s) to create and implement strategic and related financial plans, including creating and maintaining efficient process to transition files from Project to Administrative production pipelines

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Will manage Weatherization Carpentry Field Technicians and Weatherization Energy Auditor / Quality Control Inspectors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have 3-5 years project management, energy efficiency, or related construction field experience
• Certification or degree in building science, construction management, construction safety, a plus
• BPI certified Energy Auditor/Quality Control Inspector certification preferred, required within one year of position acceptance
• Demonstrated experience with MS Office suite, database proficiency, project management software and energy efficiency software
• Demonstrated ability to handle frequent changes with professionalism and communication
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Enthusiasm, team-oriented with a focus on customer service delivery
• Excellent driving record
• Ability to safely climb various types of ladders and the ability to lift 50 lbs., without assistance occasionally
