Job Description

Signature Performance, a leader in the healthcare revenue cycle industry, is currently seeking a HR Intern to join our Human Resources team.

 

 

 

Position Purpose:

 

This position provides administrative support to the Human Resources department.

 

Organization:

 

This position reports to the HR Manager.

 

Essential Job Functions include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Administers new hire paperwork to new associates.
  • Prepares benefit enrollment for newly eligible associates.  
  • Inputs time corrections into ADP payroll system.
  • Assists recruiter with phone interviews, sourcing and other recruiting tasks.
  • Conducts reference and background inquiries.
  • Maintains employee files.

 

 

Knowledge & Experience:

 

  • 1-2 years relevant experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  Current student pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related area preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment

 

General Areas of Accountability:

 

The incumbent must conduct business and personal affairs in a manner that is always a credit to the company. 

 

 

 

Machines and Equipment:

 

The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, telephone system, and other office machines such as copier and fax machines.

 

Physical Activity:

 

The incumbent must be able to finger, grasp, feel, see, sit, hear, and speak.  This position is sedentary in nature with minimal lifting requirements. 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

The incumbent works in an office environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, or extreme noise.  Routine periods of being on the phone utilizing a headset, sitting and data keying are required.
