Job Description

Thrasher is seeking a purpose driven business development individual to help us redefine our industry. The Business Development Manager serves as the business development professional in our commercial business and is the first interaction that commercial clients have with our company. Responsibilities include developing and building relationships with engineering, architectural, and construction industry professionals to sell commercial solutions. Additionally, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for the maintaining and analysis of the company's Client Relationship Management system to further develop relationships in the market.   • Develops a network of industry professionals, such as real estate agents, architects, contractors, and so on. Initiates, cultivates, and maintains relationships to instill trust and confidence, and ultimately creates commercial solution leads. Attends and presents at special industry-related events, marketing, and trade shows to build this network of professionals.
  • Present to real estate agents and property management companies to create understanding of Thrasher services. 
  • Follows up directly with potential customers to make appointments, build rapport, demonstrate expertise, determine customers' needs, propose solutions, follow up on open proposals, and bring all proposals to a sale.
  • Works with our in-house engineering team to develop the best solution for our clients' needs.
  • Follows up on sold jobs from beginning to end to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Researches potential sales opportunities for the company.
  • Maintains and analyzes the company's CRM system to enhance sales strategies and market intelligence.
  • Meets or exceeds monthly sales goals.
  • Assists the commercial team in any other activities to accomplish the mission and goals of the team.



  • Knowledge of construction or related trades.
  • 3-5 years of business development or sales experience; preferably in person-to-person sales.
  • A combination of education and experience that illustrates a proven track record in this field.
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing, and customer care principles and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish goals and build comradery.
  • Skill in operating personal computer and programs such as spreadsheets, database, and word processing software.
  • Previous experience with CRM systems desired.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Local travel/away from office requirements: 80-85%
