Receptionist

The receptionist at Green Plains Inc. in Omaha, NE will be the first person that guests see when the arrive at the office headquarters. They are responsible for performing administrative and office support activities, operating the switchboard phone operating system, greeting and directing guests, and much more! The ideal candidate will have an upbeat attitude, professional demeanor, and exhibit excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Perform administrative and office support activities
  • Answer switchboard and screen calls, be responsive to questions/problems and channeling calls to appropriate departments when necessary
  • Greet and direct customers and office guests
  • Assist with applicants as needed
  • Perform basic office support functions, to include, but not limited to, photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing
  • Prepare/organize incoming and outgoing mail including the use of a postage machine, UPS and Fed Ex
  • Order and maintain supplies, and arrange for equipment maintenance
  • Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities including meal arrangements
  • Assist company executives with expense reporting, setting up meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Prepare internal and external correspondence
  • Assist with preparing and binding presentations
  • Manage communications effectively among diverse groups of people within organization
  • Support Office Manager
  • Backup to A/P Clerk as needed, sending out invoices to customers
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience creating messages/communications
  • Previous receptionist/administrative assistant experience
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Use of basic office equipment
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude with the desire to succeed 

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job includes but is not limited to frequent sitting, standing, frequent computer use, frequent telephone use, some lifting or moving up to 30 lbs.
