 Market & Innovation Researcher – Job Description

Medical Solutions seeks a Market & Innovation Researcher who will be responsible for managing, organizing, and delivering customer, client, competitive and environmental research projects designed to help fuel new product development and continued, extraordinary company growth and profitability. The Market & Innovation Researcher will be working in a fast paced, demanding, and fun environment, and will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Product & Services Innovation of Medical Solutions. If you have experience as a Market & Innovation Researcher and are interested in working cross-functionally and collaboratively in an exciting, fun and high growth environment, apply to become part of our dedicated team today!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop proposals and participate in client meetings and communications, as requested, and needed, to maximize new product development. 
  • Design, execute and manage Quantitative and Qualitative projects including, analyses, execution, report writing and presentations to ensure schedule, sales and client needs, and budget requirements are met, all to ensure company growth and profitability. Access secondary market research as need and appropriate.
  • Conduct and maintain competitive research and analysis.
  • Apply and demonstrate an advanced level of understanding and knowledge of appropriate statistical applications and research design techniques to provide consultancy to marketing, sales and clients for maximum sales and growth.
  • Evaluate ongoing research needs and potential team structure to ensure success of this important function.
  • Collaborate with other staff members on projects to ensure projects are completed according to project management plans for seamless and timely quality work. 
  • Develop and provide expertise in target business industries to both external clients and internal teams.
  • Deliver superb communication skills in client management, project presentation, company product and service promotion, and team collaboration. 
  • Practice and demonstrate exemplary work ethics, and self-motivation in learning and taking on new challenges to support sales for the company.
  • Identify new, innovative and competitive product opportunities.
  • Knowledgeable about market research, dedicated to the goals of the company while promoting a positive, fun, and engaging culture to ensure good relationships, overall employee and client satisfaction, and profitability. 
  • Must speak clearly and fluently to communicate on a wide range of topics. Interpersonal skills as needed to persuade, debate, and negotiate.
  • Comprehension of job requirements and procedures. Can initiate and perform work assignments under minimal direction that may be broad, varied, and complex in nature. Employee must be comfortable and have the ability to use educated and intuitive judgment to make decisions.
  • Must be able to work in a shifting environment with ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
  • Mathematical aptitude; use of numeric calculations for accuracy of reports and tasks.  
  • Organizational and time management skills sufficient to plan and accomplish assigned goals. 
  • Deductive reasoning ability to enable the appropriate application of general concepts to specific situations. Able to translate theory into business practices. Employee must apply experience, skills, and information to identify problems and plan strategic resolutions.
  • Must be willing to work hard, be dependable and responsible, possess a positive attitude and maintain a sense of honesty and integrity. 

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in market research leadership.
  • BS Degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Experienced and skilled in research methodologies, analysis, working with web analytics data and tools.
  • Able to determine, synthesize and develop market research solutions to deliver insights and solutions to marketing, sales, and clients.
  • Strong ability to work with Senior Management and Sales to contribute to the overall sales and revenue growth for Medical Solutions.
  • Strong ability to direct and manage a (potential future) team to fulfill all projects on time and within the budget while providing rich insights to marketing, sales, and clients.
  • Distinguished presentation skills with strong ability to translate and communicate data and findings into understandable, interesting, actionable business implications and recommendations using visualization through charts and graphs.
  • Exceptional sales and client interaction ability.
  • Experience in using software for market research, such as Conjoint and tabulation software.
  • Experience with statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS, R, or SQL scripting is preferred but not required.
  • Being open to learning new processes and take on new challenges.
  • Quick learner as well as detail oriented.
  • Independent thinking skills.

  • Staffing Industry experience
  • Travel Nursing experience
  • Medical field or terminology background
