Licensing Specialist

Medical Solutions, a leader in the medical staffing industry, is looking for a highly motivated individual who is well versed in healthcare staffing, compliance and process management for the position of Licensing Specialist.

The Licensing Specialist will have a placement, auditing and/or sales background and will serve as a resource for internal and external customers regarding licensure.  This person will update at a minimum of annually the licensure spreadsheet resource for sales..  The candidate will be responsible for communication with travelers on how to obtain licensure via endorsement.  The candidate will also research required licensure positions as requested sales team members.

Reports Directly to Manager of Quality Services

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain current licensure cheat sheet
  • Research licensure processes for all modalities
  • Communicates with healthcare travelers on applying for licensure/certification by endorsement
  • Maintains current stock of all documents/fingerprinting cards for licensure
  • Works to build a resource for internal and external customers for licensure and certification
  • Serve as expert for licensure and certification
  • Work with IT to provide resources on company website for licensure
  • Develops and maintains relationships with licensing agencies to assist in licensure processes
  • Research certification courses as needed and as time allows
  • Manage reporting to licensing/certification agencies

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Previous employment in healthcare staffing setting
  • Strong team player and ability to work with others within and outside of team
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong research and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Great organizational skills
  • Close attention to detail
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Able to manage a large and increasing workload
  • Excellent customer service skills with external customers
  • Ability to think outside the box to find solutions
  • Take ownership of getting the job done
  • Work closely with sales teams, placement teams, healthcare travelers, contracted agencies and management
  • Must be highly computer literate, including strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Google and Excel
