Overview

Facilitates training programs pertaining to business processes, systems operation, and other technical processes. This position specifically will be facilitating training for Nelnet Diversified Solutions. An individual working in this role will have direct impact on the way associates perform their jobs and serve our customers.

This position requires work in support of the Company's contract with the United States Department of Education (œED). As such, the United States Government requires that any applicant for this position must complete United States Government security clearance. Effective June 1, 2018, ED has informed Nelnet that security clearance applications for foreign nationals are not being accepted or processed. In light of this direction from ED, Nelnet will be unable to hire applicants without United States citizenship for such positions.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate engaging training programs on operational processes and other topics (new hire, new skill, and refresher training).
  2. Research, review, and collect available technical and procedural information as basis for training and documentation.
  3. Work closely with Business Process Owners (BPOs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and other training professionals to design, develop, and maintain training programs and materials, including facilitation notes and other supplemental resources (e.g. job aids, worksheets, PowerPoint presentations, Visio process maps, assessments, etc.).
  4. Select appropriate training and documentation methods based on complexity of content and intended audience.
  5. Review and assess associate's progress during and following training to evaluate effectiveness of training methods used. Inform business and training leaders of outcomes using standard methods and templates.
  6. Complete administrative tasks related to training (scheduling, recordkeeping, reporting, etc.).
  7. Review and update documents (e.g. work guides) to ensure content is accurate and reflects current compliance, regulatory, and on-the-job expectations/practices.
  8. Flex between tasks and roles with the Global Training and Development department, to ensure business needs are met.
  9. Maintain associate confidentiality, regarding performance and assessment results.
  10. Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
  11. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  12. Maintain high dependability standards through advanced planning, communication of time-off needs, and working additional hours when such contributions are required.
  13. Contribute to continuous process improvement by making suggestions and taking ownership to improve work processes or resources.
  14. Commit to Performance Based Organization (PBO) and œeasy to do business with philosophy.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 or more years general work experience
  • Training and/or course development experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS:

  • US work permit
  • Valid driver's license
