Perform duties to ensure Nelnet owned and leased facilities are properly maintained and equipped to provide a workplace that is healthy, safe, pleasing and promotes efficiency. Fulfill work orders within company standards for quality and timeliness.


  1. Move equipment and furniture
  2. Hang and install miscellaneous items and fixtures
  3. Directly or through respective vendors, maintain and repair owned and leased equipment, including copiers, fax machines, furniture and company owned vehicles, e.g.
  4. Install, move and/or reconfigure panel system furniture
  5. Coordinate services to be performed by property management or landlord
  6. Maintain database to log work orders to track progress and ensure service levels achieved
  7. First point of contact for supply and maintenance vendors
  8. Issue, maintain, log and track badges for security system
  9. Stock break rooms as needed
  10. Assist in facilities preparation for company functions and social events.
  11. Catalog and maintain keys and key log.
  12. Maintain organized storage facility.
  13. Back up for front desk responsibilities.
  14. Update Facilities spreadsheets and databases
  15. Perform administrative duties as requested



High school diploma or equivalent.



1 year experience in maintenance/general repairs.



  1. Demonstrated customer service skills and organization skills. 
  2. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks.
  3. Ability to follow through on assignments within corporate standards.
  4. Ability to work independently.
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Effective oral and written communications skills. Basic problem solving ability.
  7. Basic carpentry skills.
  8. Computer skills must include PC proficiency (Windows environment), MS Office Suite, and thorough knowledge of Excel
