Nelnet's Corporate Communications team is growing to support Nelnet's rapid expansion! Join a team that manages the communication needs of over 6,000 associates spread across 24 businesses and 23 cities. As a member of the Corporate Communications team, you will get a unique look into the happenings of Nelnet's diversified organization and have an impact on the way associates receive information and stay engaged with their work. As a member of this team, you will have a firsthand role in supporting Nelnet's latest business initiatives and dispersing information across the organization.


To assist in the writing, editing, planning, and distribution of corporate communications deliverables, including internal newsletters, intranet articles, and creative pieces. This individual will ensure communications are clear and concise and published on-time to meet internal stakeholder goals and deadlines.


  1. Manage weekly internal communications of the organization by writing and editing articles to form email newsletters
  2. Maintain intranet with latest corporate articles and content
  3. Work with Nelnet's various departments to determine communication needs and timelines
  4. Support senior leaders with communication needs
  5. Develop understanding of all Nelnet business segments, products, and services to better communicate with associates and support internal departments
  6. Ensure all written messages are accurate, timely, strategic, and well-written
  7. Be the final set of eyes on select written communications



4-year degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Advertising, or related field.



  • 02 years in a writing-focused position

  4. Technical and creative writing skills
  5. Superb proofreading skills
