Overview

 

To represent Nelnet in a professional, knowledgeable and positive manner directing visitors and managing the front lobby and badge access accordingly.

Responsibilities

  1. Greet visitors in a professional and positive manner.
  2. All security badge responsibilities including Nelnet associates, temps, contractors and visitors.
  3. Coordinate building security access for Nelnet associates and non-Nelnet tenants.
  4. Ensure visitors receive appropriate level of security access; arranging escorts as needed.
  5. Schedule meeting rooms and related amenities.
  6. Coordinate with property management and/or security staff as needed.
  7. Coordinate with HR regarding job fairs, interviewees etc. Accept resumes received for HR.
  8. Maintain the front desk and lobby in a professional, organized, safe manner.
  9. Assist with parking card distribution and maintain log.
  10. Make calls to vendors regarding equipment repairs and produce monthly equipment meter reads.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent.   Successful completion of OJT.

 

EXPERIENCE:

1 year customer service, switchboard or receptionist experience.

 

COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  1. Demonstrated customer service skills and organization skills.
  2. Effective oral communications skills.
  3. Ability to handle conflict as needed.
  4. Basic problem solving ability.
  5. Computer skills to include MS Outlook, PC proficiency (Windows environment), MS Office Suite. Typing minimum 30wpm.
