Nelnet's Corporate Communications team is growing to support Nelnet's rapid expansion! Join a team that manages the communication needs of over 6,000 associates spread across 24 businesses and 23 cities. As a member of the Corporate Communications team, you will get a unique look into the happenings of Nelnet's diversified organization and have an impact on the way associates receive information and stay engaged with their work. As a member of this team, you will have a firsthand role in supporting Nelnet's latest business initiatives and dispersing information across the organization.



To assist in the planning and execution of corporate communications programs and projects, as well as company events, by coordinating the day-to-day development of work and ensuring communications programs are completed to achieve established goals.


  1. Support the Communications Specialist in the development and execution of communications campaigns
  2. Work with marketing team to coordinate day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks
  3. Attend team and/or stakeholder meetings as determined appropriate by the Communications Specialist or other leaders.
  4. Organize progress of jobs through project management software by working with Traffic to track, monitor, and guide all jobs for their assigned stakeholders.
  5. Prepare project briefs and/or production notes to assist in the development of marketing projects
  6. Review all work from the creative team prior to stakeholder approval for grammatical, technical and visual accuracy, and overall brand consistency
  7. Assist with a variety of marketing logistics, including conference and event coordination, media and print coordination, and premium pricing and ordering
  8. Responsible for managing inventory of in-house premiums
  9. Assist marketing team in compiling information, secondary research, and/or other assigned projects and campaigns



4-year degree in marketing, advertising, or related field



0-2 years in marketing or communications position



Resourceful, detail-oriented, organized, good at multi-tasking, adaptable, quick to learn, work independently, professional demeanor in person and in writing, strong interpersonal skills
