Overview

The Manager of Mobile Products is responsible for the development, launch, and growth of the mobile campus life solution.  This position will play a critical role in shaping the future of our campus mobile strategy by providing accelerated market understanding, developing and executing on the strategic mobile initiative, innovating through the use of emerging technologies and identifying and executing on new opportunities. 

 

The Manger of Mobile Products will also supervise and provide leadership to a small development team helping them understand market problems, prioritize work, maximize efficiency and support technical development and growth.  In addition, this position will work with a variety of constituents across the organization to support the growth and mission of our mobile products. 

Responsibilities

  1. Manage mobile product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
  2. Manage a small, dynamic development team to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  3. Coordinate Projects.
  4. Create next generation products based on industry needs and direct customer and consumer interaction.
  5. Spot market opportunities and trends to ensure products are leading edge and user-centric.
  6. Develop go-to-market plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, and Marketing) and directly support the launch and sale of the product.
  7. Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and financial analysis to determine pricing and ensure strategic revenue growth.
  8. Ensure Functional Specifications are aligned with Business Requirements.
  9. Travel to clients and prospects to sell and support mobile solutions.
  10. Represent NBS at industry conferences, and pursue professional development activities.
  11. Work with marketing to develop and execute innovative product marketing programs.
  12. Develop ROI analysis for mobile solutions and price solutions for best market fit and profitability.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  1. Bachelor's Degree (prefer Master's). Equivalent experience considered.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  1. 4 years of experience in an administrative role.
  2. Experience extracting data from various sources to generate reports.
  3. Project coordination experience.
  4. Experience and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
  5. Experience conducting research and using advanced skills within computer applications.

 

COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  1. Strong level of computer skills with high level of competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  2. Ability to manage multiple priorities from several people.
  3. Accuracy/attention to detail.
  4. Extremely good organization skills.
  5. Exceptional Time Management Skills.
  6. Diligent with follow-up and follow-through on tasks.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Familiarity with general IT terms and concepts.
  9. Familiarity with at least one tool used to extract raw data from various backend systems (SQL, programming or reporting language, reporting tool, etc.)
  10. Ability to remain flexible and adjust to change as needed (including adjusted deadlines).
  11. Strong interpersonal skills.
