Overview

This is your chance to be part of a fast growing company in Omaha, with plenty of potential for growth! This team will continue to grow over the next few years.  We are looking for a mid to senior level JAVA developer to join our team as soon as possible.  Must want to work in fast paced environment where code security and quality are the priorities.

 

  1. Experience with Java programming including JAXB/XML, JSP, JEE, and restful web services.
  2. Experience interfacing the either a SQL Server or Oracle database (3 years)
  3. Who are passionate about good design patterns and writing clean, maintainable code.
  4. Who love being part of the full software development lifecycle from customer feedback to product delivery, they want to help out along the way.
  5. Who possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Our developers know how and when to translate technical speak to other audiences.
  6. Who have a strong desire to learn new architecture and find ways to keep our code current.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Facilitate taking in requirements and turn them into Features.
  2. Design User Stories and Tasks for Features.
  3. Develop software at all levels of the stack.
  4. Conduct code reviews.
  5. Research and resolve production issues.
  6. Stay up-to-date on new technologies and share your learning with others.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience

 

EXPERIENCE:

Experience with Java programming including JAXB/XML, JSP, JEE, and restful web services, (5 years)

Interfacing the either a SQL or Oracle database (3 years)

 

 

COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to actively engage in a team environment and challenge yourself to learn from others.
  2. Good team player who can take ownership and responsibility of completing technical tasks.
  3. Application Developer who is able to learn and improve on business processes.
  4. Take a large complex stories with the ability to break down into technical tasks.
  5. Java version 1.7 or later experience preferred
  6. Comfortable writing Junit tests.
  7. Maven build processes knowledge
  8. Ideally would have knowledge/experience with Jenkins continuous integration tool
  9. Ideally would have experience with software encryption
  10. Ideally would have experience with data encryption
