Overview

The Lead Assistant Account Manager provides support for the Team Leaders and the Assistant Account Managers.  In addition to being able to perform all functions of the Assistant Account Manager II position, the Lead Assistant Account Manager is responsible for assisting with training and scheduling of Assistant Account manager staff and communications to the Assistant Account Manager Team.  The Lead Assistant Account manager also participates in the interview group for new Assistant Account Managers.

Responsibilities

  1. Performs all functions of the Assistant Account Manager (grade level 8) position.
  2. Provide support for the Assistant Account Manager Team Leaders and act as a subject matter expert, answering questions and providing guidance to the Assistant Account Managers.
  3. Coordinate and train associates on all department processes.
  4. Monitor processing workflow, analyzing company and department needs for coverage and monitor queues to assign how many associates working each process.
  5. Request proofs of authorization and proof of returns.
  6. Participate in conjunction with Team Leaders in interviewing and hiring associates.
  7. Coordinate all team schedules, such as release trainings and team meetings.
  8. Monitor team availability.
  9. Responsible for taking and resolving escalated supervisor calls.
  10. Responsible for monitoring Help Desk questions from AAM team members.
  11. Assist Team Leaders with communications to staff, including leading team and/or group meetings.
  12. Check adherence of Assistant Account Managers schedules.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High School graduate or equivalent, plus 2 years college/technical school and two years of work experience, with the ability to substitute related work experience for college/technical school educational requirements.

 

EXPERIENCE:

One year of Assistant Account Manager experience preferred.

 

COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  1. Skills to operate office equipment, such as a computer, calculator, copy machine, facsimile, and telephone.
  2. Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a professional, courteous manner.
  3. Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle several activities simultaneously.
  4. Ability to handle stressful situations and meet deadlines.
  5. Ability to accurately analyze and forecast processing needs.
  6. Accurate and detail oriented.
  7. Excellent organizational skills.
  8. Ability to effectively train others.
  9. Ability to address improper behavior in a direct and respectful manner.
  10. Above average computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
